WATCH: Filipino MMA fighters from Cordillera who are masters of 'Spinning Back Kick'

Cordillera - The spinning back kick technique in Mixed Martial Arts is one of the dominant weapon utilized by Team Lakay fighters over the years.

In fact, the technique has been one of their signatures and has helped them earned memorable knockout wins in ONE Championship history.

Former ONE Bantamweight World Champion Kevin Belingon used the spinning back kick in his previous fights, notably against Andrew Leone during ONE: Heroes of Honor on April 2018. The kick was so powerful that Leone was flying across the corner of the ring.

Inspired by Belingon's success in utilizing the spinning back kick, former ONE World flyweight champion Geje Eustaguio got a TKO victory against Toni Tauru with a vicious spinning heel kick. Tauru was not able to continue the fight after suffering a painful kick to the side of his solar plexus.

As shared by Belingon, what makes the spinning back kick so powerful and vicious is the heel, as it carries tremendous amount of impact. When landed perfectly, that impact can shatter ribs.

Some notable Team Lakay fighters who took advantage of this technique are ONE Strawweight World Champion Joshua "The Passion" Pacio, former ONE Lightweight Champion Eduard Folayang and Lito Adiwang.

The honesty of Mr. Alonzo is a testament to the Cordilleran culture of "Inayan" which prohibits anyone from consuming or taking anything that he/she does not own.

Despite his family's recent financial struggle, he didn't hesitate to do what is right. He might have earnestly prayed  for grace just when his wife was discharged from BeGh and signed a promissory note to pay an amount of P37,000. His wife just had a gall bladder surgery then.  However, he was wise enough to discern what's right and acted right.

Amidst the crisis that this current pandemic has brought to farmers, Mr. Alonzo did not hesitate to return the bag he found by contacting the owner and reporting it to the Police, then later turned it over to the rightful owner.

Let this simple act of honesty and kindness become an inspiration and encouragement to everyone amidst the hardship and struggles we face in this difficult times.

Cordillera - A retired policeman in Kalinga had an appeal to the residents to maintain their trust and confidence to the police.

This is after the tragic incident that happened in Tarlac where a police sergeant killed mother and son in point blank range.

Many expressed their anger towards the Philippine National Police (PNP) over the killing committed by one of its personnel.

However, the outcry did not sit well on many honest and well-mannered policemen including this retired cop from Kalinga.

Retired policeman Esteban Wacdangan wrote a message on his Facebook account.

He said: "Here are your police in the remotest areas of the country, I just recently retired from the PNP service, my humble & kind appeal to all community residents just to give a moment of attention to know the sacrifices & devotion to service of your policemen;  leaving their families even in times of disaster operations, in times of non-working days & Holydays. Their children even lack the daily guidance & supervision due to their quite long been absence at home. Again I am appealing to the public to please maintain your TRUST & CONFIDENCE to the POLICE, let the law punish those only a very few erring policemen but not to include the whole PNP organization. Forgiveness, giving & loving to our fellowmen be the noble message to everyone this Holyday Season, GOD BLESS US ALL."
