Cordillera - The comet Neowise has for the first time become visible with the naked eye since the mid-1990s.
The comet was spotted over Baguio city sky on July 19, 2020 at 7:41 PM, Philippine time.
The NEOWISE (short for Near Earth Orbital Wide-field Infrared Survey) was discovered by NASA's orbiting satellite telescope.
The comet can be seen with the naked eye but a pair of binoculars or low magnification of telescopes can give you a better view, according to Philippine Astronomical Society, Inc..
Comet NEOWISE is expected to come closer to Earth by July 22 hovering near the northern horizon.
