Cordillera - A young son of Sabangan, Mt. Province is among the 224 brilliant and dashing cadets of the Philippine Merchant Marine Academy (PMMA) who will be graduating on June 12, 2020.

A congratulatory message from friends and family is extended to sir Denser Gabe D. Sadlay for his unimaginable sacrifices and hardwork together with determination, perseverance and faith to finish what he had started in the academy.
Sadlay is the only graduating cadet who hails from the said municipality.

PMMA is a premier state-run maritime institution which provides academic and professional training for merchant marine officers.

It is directly under the supervision of the Commission on Higher Education (CHEd) and the Philippine Navy.
It offers two major baccalaureate programs: the Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation and the Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering.

Graduates from the said academy shall serve in different private shipping companies, foreign or local. They may also serve in the Philippine Coast Guard and the Philippine Navy.

All PMMA midshipmen are automatically appointed as ensigns (equivalent to 2nd Lieutenant in the Philippine Marine) by the president of the country.
