The country's biggest food, drinks and infrastructure conglomerate will use its technical experts to prepare the design and will submit it to Mayor Magalong in due time.
The local government of Baguio is open to any recommendation and doable solutions on how to effectively and efficiently address the traffic problems of the city so that residents and tourists will not suffer from the effect of monstrous traffic jams around the city.
Transportation secretary Arthur Tugade earlier this month had also offered a proposal to build a cable car system from Pugo, La Union to Baguio.
The Department of Transportation also offered to help the local government to set up a monorail line from La Trinidad to the city.

Many believed that Baguio will soon be dead if nothing is done to address these problems.

ANG SOLUSYON JAN MAGBAWAS NG PUMAPASOK AT MGA NAKATENGGA SA SIYUDAD. MAGBAWAS NA NG MGA SASAKYAN LALO SA PRIBADO. ISIPIN NIYO, TOURIST SPOT, UNIVERSITY AREAS AT BUSINESS CENTER ANG BAGUIO. HINDI MAKAKATULONG YAN. DADAMI PARIN MGA SASAKYAN NA PUMAPASOK SA PRIBADO AT PUBLIKONG SEKTOR. ISA PA, MALIIT LANG ANG BAGUIO.
Opinion ko lng po.. better to respect the carrying capacity of Baguio.
wag na kayong kumontra mga bobo
It is time someone is thinking about solving the traffic problem in the city and to La Trinidad. I was frustrated 20 years ago when it took me half a day just to go to La Trinidad and come back to Baguio. I support the monorail but what happens to those who make a living driving a jeepney? Kudos to you guys and good luck in making it happen.
elevated highway is bad it just ruined the very scenic view of the city..i think subway is nice..
This is quite concerning.. Maybe San Miguel Corp should fix first the existing problems in South Luzon Expressway before considering adding another project like this.
I mean some parts along SLEX have areas with unresolved issues of landslide/soil erosion. For 1 year and half SMC SLEX Project Engineers can't even finalize their design to resolve it and haven't removed the land and rubbles that have been covering a house since August of 2020 and now they are pitching this?
I'm reacting to this article 2 years after it originally came out. So, what happened to this supposed project?
