5 sons of Sagada, Mt. Province graduated from PMMA Masidlayag Class 2022

Cordillera - Five proud Igorots from Mountain Province successfully finished their studies and training at the Philippine Merchant Marine Academy (PMMA) on July 7, 2022.

These cadets are among the 114 graduates of the PMMA Masidlayag Class of 2022 who satisfactorily hurdled their training to become a merchant marines, naval and coast guard officers.

Oliver Egsaen Domanog - Sagada,Mountain Province 

Clayton Aclopen - Sagada, Mountain Province

Blake Baniaga Aclopen - Sagada,Mountain Province

Frenzel Somebang - Sagada, Mountain Province

‘MASIDLAYAG’ Class 2022 stands for ‘Mandaragat ng Silanganan na may Dangal Upang Maglayag at Gumabay sa Inang Bayan’.

PHILIPPINE Navy Flag Officer In Command Vice Admiral Adeluis Bordado witnessed the 199th Commencement Exercises for the ‘MASIDLAYAG’ Class 2022 of the Philippine Merchant Marine Academy Saturday at the PMMA Complex.

Cordilleran from Tabuk is PMMA's class valedictorian

Cordillera - The  Philippine Merchant Marine Academy's (PMMA) "Sinaglakan" Class 2021 has held its graduation ceremony today (July 28, 2021) via Facebook live.

The class valedictorian is a proud Cordilleran from Tabuk City, Kalinga, 1CL Jovy Sallosar Bernardo. 

Bernardo is also an Academic Excellence Awardee, Presidential Saber Awardee, FOIC Awardee and Discipline Awardee.

Bernardo is among the 167 graduates of the PMMA "Sinaglakan" Class 2021

PMMA is a premier state-run maritime institution which provides academic and professional training for merchant marine officers. 

It is directly under the supervision of the Commission on Higher Education (CHed) and the Philippine Navy. 

All the graduates of the academy will take the licensure examination at the Maritime Industry Authority and will undergo Coast Guard Officers Course in Coast Guard Officers Basic Education and Training Center in Bagac, Bataan. 

This will help them to become competent, reliable and effective leaders prior to their commisionship as Ensigns for active duty in the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG).
