Wowcordillera - Igorot mixed martial arts champion Joshua "The Passion" Pacio successfully retained the ONE Strawweight MMA World Championship after defeating Mansur Malachiev on July 10 at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
In their highly anticipated rematch at ONE: The Inner Circle 21, Pacio delivered a spectacular performance, putting Malachiev to sleep with a rear-naked choke in the first round. The victory improved Pacio's professional record to 24 wins and 5 losses, while handing the Russian challenger only the second defeat of his career, dropping his record to 15-2.
The Team Lakay star showcased his trademark composure, elite grappling, and championship mindset, finishing the bout in dominant fashion to successfully defend his world title.
