Young Igorota Erza Doligas Shines with Double Gold at AAU USA Taekwondo Nationals

Cordillera - A young Igorota from Baguio is making waves in the world of martial arts. Erza Doligas, just 8 years old, has brought immense pride to her family and the Cordilleran community by winning two gold medals and a bronze at the recently concluded AAU USA Taekwondo National Championships held in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Erza competed in the 8–9-year-old Female category, claiming Gold in Individual Forms, Gold in Team Forms, and Bronze in Demonstration — a testament to her exceptional skill, discipline, and unwavering dedication to her sport.

Though now based in Las Vegas, Erza’s Igorot roots remain strong. Both her parents were born and raised in Baguio and take pride in passing on their culture and values to their daughter. Even with the distance, Erza continues her training through online sessions multiple times a week with her coach in Baguio — showing how modern technology can bridge oceans while nurturing traditional discipline.

Her remarkable journey is not just about medals but also about her passion, commitment, and the strong support of her family and Cordilleran community abroad. Her achievements inspire other young Cordillerans to dream big, work hard, and honor their heritage wherever they may be.

Congratulations, Erza! You are proof that our Igorot spirit can shine on any stage in the world.
