LOOK: First State-of-the-Art Convention Center Soon to Rise in Benguet

Benguet Province is poised to make a significant leap forward in its cultural and economic development with the upcoming establishment of a state-of-the-art convention center, as revealed by Benguet Congressman Eric Yap through an official announcement on his Facebook page.

The forthcoming Benguet Convention Center is slated to become a veritable showcase of the province's rich cultural heritage and natural beauty. It's envisioned as an iconic facility that will serve multiple purposes, including promoting the province, hosting major events, generating income for Benguet, and expanding social services and livelihood assistance programs for its residents.

In a dedicated effort to bring this visionary project to fruition, Congressman Eric Yap recently met with the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) to collaboratively draft a comprehensive plan for the convention center, as well as the master plan for the entire site. 

This site will also encompass the Benguet Sports Complex and Oval, Benguet Aquatic Center, and the proposed Benguet Convention Center. The congressman expressed his commitment to securing the necessary funding for the project, with hopes of commencing construction in the coming year.

Convention centers offer a multitude of benefits to the communities they serve. These facilities are not only venues for hosting conferences, seminars, and trade shows, but also hubs for cultural events, performances, and social gatherings.
