Igorota elite runner wins Gold medal in 1st World's Highest OCR and World Record Breaking Challenge

Cordillera - Philippines' top female ultra-marathoner/trail runner and gold medalist in the 30th SEA Games Ms. Sandi Menchi Abahan won gold in the 1st World's Highest OCR and World Record Breaking Challenge held in Mount Kilimanjaro, Tanzania.

Teams from 26 countries conquered the world’s highest free-standing mountain with an extraordinary obstacle course race in the crater of Mt. Kilimanjaro at 5,755m.

In addition, Abahan finished in Top 1 in the National Series Leg 3 of the Spartan Race Philippines held in Batangas on October 23, 2021.

After almost 18 months of no physical activities and gatherings due to the current pandemic, the Spartan Race Philippines was successfully launch this year. 

Held in Batangas Lakelands, Balete, Batangas, participants took the lead in heading to 5-kilometer race with 20 obstacles.
