Baguio cop celebrates birthday by giving gifts, food to children.

Cordillera-  Can you remember how and where  you celebrated your last birthday?

Celebrating a birthday is a very special occasion and  anticipated by most children, adults and old folks alike. This is the day you receive lots of love, greetings and even gifts. A day when you feel like you are treated extra special because you  receive special favors or get away with some minor offences.

While recalling those memories of the countless birthdays you've celebrated, it's satisfying to know that you have given time for yourself to be all about you, to receive all those love, care and affection.

But have you ever considered celebrating your birthday the other way around?

Patrolwoman Ardayle Callueng, a police officer in Baguio Naguilan  Police Station (PS1) just did the opposite when she celebrated her birthday in a Daycare center in Brgy. Fairview Baguio City as posted in the PNP Cordillera FB Page.

Being grateful for another year full of blessings, she opted to give love, joy and happiness to the children.

The gracious Patrolwoman Callueng gave the children some gifts like disinfectant alcohol, facemasks and goodie bags not to mention the sumptuous food she prepared for them.

Instead of receiving gifts and special favors, Callueng shared her blessings and  joy to the children who received them with so much happiness.

You know you have already reached far in life when celebrating your birthday is no longer just about the yummy food and drinks with family and friends or the world revolving around you but the company and love that your family and friends give, the gratitude you have for all the blessings received in the past, the appreciation you have for the life you have lived and the hope and gratefulness you have for the next chapter of your life and whatever the future holds for you.

The next time you celebrate your special day,  what's your plan? You might also consider sharing your blessings and joy to those in need or to charity.

You can always share your thoughts with us and we will all celebrate with you.

Cheers to celebrating more birthdays in the future!

She got her first teaching job, thanks to kind Baguio cop, sir Say-eo

Cordillera - A lucky teacher shared her experience on social media on how she got her first teaching job. She was extremely grateful for the help of a Baguio cop sir Say-eo who gave him cash for a taxi ride so she can arrive to her job interview on time.

Below is the story shared by Angel Taruc Sta Maria-Merez.

Few minutes back it's unfortunate that I forgot my wallet coz I was in hurry for a job interview, I just noticed it while on my way riding on Libreng Sakay. Suddenly, pagbaba ko nagtanong ako sa isang pulis man his last name is Sir SAY-EO I asked him kung saan yung school na pupuntahan ko (I mentioned the school), pero sabi nya malayo pa raw yun, I need to ride in a taxi but paano wala akong wallet! But Sir SAY-EO gave me a hundred pesos. I was overwhelmed and thankful, really! He insisted it so I had no choice but to accept his offer since nagmamadali talaga ako. To make the long story short, I came to the school on time and had my demo and interview and after that the school principal introduced me to the owner of the school and they ask me to prepare requirements such as pag-ibig, sss, etc.

Today, I finally got my first teaching job!

HAHAHA jivaa, sya pa nag-thank you. (Jk.

Cordillera - A Baguio police officer's act of kindness was caught on camera and it taught us an important lesson, "Even though your time on the job is temporary, if you do a good enough job, your work there will last forever."
PCpl Reynaldo Moyaen, a cop from Baguio city saw a man in need and provided him with a food to eat.

Photos from Baguio Pulisya Syete show PCpl Moyaen was seen handing over packs of food to an individual who is down in his luck.

"He can not feed himself so I gave him food to eat", Moyaem remarked.

This simple act of kindness of the part of PCpl Reynaldo Moyaen toward the man who needs something to eat is an inspiration to many.

It proves just how simple things can make a big difference in the life of a person.
If there's an opportunity for us to help someone in need, let's not hesitant to do what is right.

Thank you sir for your kind gesture.

Cordillera. Honesty is doing the right thing although no one else knows or is watching and it is a human core value that needs to be emulated by all.

Recently, an honest police officer in Baguio City returned a bag containing cash worth Php20,000.00, credit cards, passbook, passport, car spare key and driver's license to the owner.

The owner of the bag Mr. Wilfredo Gatchalian shared in social media the good deed of Police Officer Buhong who returned his bag after losing it on December last year.

In his Facebook post, Gatchalian said he was not expecting that his lost bag will be returned to him. However, he was very thankful that a police officer returned his bag.

"Nanlulumo na nga po ako tapos bigla may nagchat sa akin napulot daw bag ko. Hindi ko nga inexpect na mabalik pa eh. Napakabait pulis doon, Strick pero mabait," he said.

He tried to give a reward to P.Lt Buhong as an expression of gratitude for his good deed but the police officer refused to accept it.

"Sana lahat ng police ganito. Binibigyan ko si sir ng reward pero ayaw pa niya tanggapin. Labis labis ang pasasalamat ko sa iyo at sampu ng mga kasama mo sa station 3 ng Baguio City. Nawa'y marami ka pang matutulongan na nangangailangan," Gatchalian added.

Many netizens who read the post had expressed their admiration to P.Lt Buhong.

"Wow, that's something worth emulating! Congratulations PO Buhong. Another feather on the cap of PNP Cordillerans," one netizen wrote.

According to a post, P,Lt Buhong is from Bili, Amduntong, Ifugao.

Stories of honesty such as this is definitely worth emulating. We hope that the good deed of P.Lt Buhong will inspire not only police officers and taxi drivers but all of us.
