Cordillera - The office of the Benguet Governor has announced the inauguration of the first government-owned hemodialysis center located at the Benguet General Hospital in La Trinidad, Benguet.
In a simple ceremony on Wednesday, Benguet Governor Dr. Melchor D. Diclas, Cong. Eric Yap, Dr. Roger Tong-an, and DOH representative Dr. Alexie Marrero led the cutting of ribbon that formally opened the said hemodialysis center.
The center has 10 sets of hemodialysis machine that can serve at most 27 patients a day and operated by 15 trained personnel according to Dr. Meliarazon Dulay, Acting Chief of Hospital at BeGH.
Health undersecretary Dr. Tong-an said the Department of Health will be adding 10 more sets of hemodialysis machines to cater more dialysis patients.
