Igorot soldier working in US Marine Cops received 1st Marine Aircraft Wing's Sailor of the year

Cordillera - The United States Marine Corps has bestowed 1st Marine Aircraft Wing's Sailor of the year to HM2 Harold Aglit. 

Corpsman Aglit traces his roots from Mt.Province in the Cordilleran Administrative Region. 

Aglit was recognized by the US Marine Corps for his superior performance and professional record for being a corpsman.

The 1st Marine Aircraft Wing is an aviation unit of the United States Marine Corps that serves as the Aviation Combat Element of the III Marine Expeditionary Force. 

The headquarter is located at Camp Foster on the Island of Okinawa, Japan.

The Wing has been in full operation since 1940, and has been in heavy combat operations during World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War.
