Cordillera - Congratulations, Saint Louis University (SLU), for being one of the awardees of the First Philippine Higher Education Internationalization Award.
Dubbed as the Light of the North, SLU, under the leadership of their esteemed President, Fr. Gilbert B. Sales, CICM, was able to secure an award through its well-planned and well-executed Internationalization Framework that includes the following components: Internationalization of Formal Education; International Mobility of Faculty and Staff; Strategic Cooperation, Partnerships, and Capacity Building; International Credit Mobility; and Internationalization at Home and Digital Learning.
SLU is the only higher education institution in the region and one of the two in Northern Luzon to achieve the said award.
The First Philippine Higher Education Internationalization Award is organized by the University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) in collaboration with the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and was launched on May 20, 2021, during the 27th Founding Anniversary of the Commission. The said award aims to recognize institutions of higher learning who were able to implement internationalization initiatives that are INNOVATIVE, CREATIVE, INCLUSIVE, and SUSTAINABLE.
