Cordillera - Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has declared December 26, 2022 (Monday) as a Special (Non-Working) holiday through out the country.
In a Proclamation No. 115 signed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin it says, the additional non-working day will “give the people the full opportunity to celebrate the holiday with their families and loved ones.”
“A longer weekend will encourage families to get together and strengthen their relationship towards a more productive environment, and will promote tourism,” the proclamation read.
The president has ordered the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) to issue the appropriate circular to implement the proclamation for the private sector.
