Cordillera - Patience, dedication and hard work paid off for Mrs. Daisy Bucad-eng of Mt. Province after she inherited a real estate and stock shares worth Php25M from her late employer in Hong Kong.

In her interview with KMJS, Daisy was a salt vendor before she decided to become a domestic helper in Hong Kong.

At first, she was not lucky with her first employer but her 2nd employer Marie, an elderly Portuguese woman treated her like a family. She served her for more that 11 years as a helper.

When Daisy decided to come home to the Philippines, Marie flew with her because she wanted to be cared by Mrs. Daisy rather than be treated in the home for the aged in Hong Kong.

Unfortunately, Marie passed away when she was in the Philippines. Her remains were brought back to Hong Kong.

Mrs. Daisy's life changed forever when one day, she received a letter stating that she was part of Marie's Last Will and Testament beneficiaries.

Daisy was shocked and didn't believe what she just received, an apartment building worth P25 million and shares of stock in various companies.

Indeed, Daisy's dedication and hard work paid off. From being a salt-vendor, Marie is now a millionaire.

To ensure she won't put her inheritance to nothing, Daisy built a penthouse building located in Mt. Province.

The Penthouse has commercial establishments, gym, transient accommodations and a place for events.

To honor her late employer, Daisy even built a memorial statue of Marie inside her penthouse with a name "Marie Agusta Ramchand".

"Sobrang mahal ko siya. Imagine siya ba naman ang nagbago ng kapalaran mo," Daisy stated.

Daisy also shared Marie’s advice to her when she was still alive.

She said she will never forget it,  "I will do my best to do and to live and be the person you wanted me to be," Daisy promised.

She also added that she believed Marie is happy now, “I’m very sure you are so lucky looking at your legacy.

Super talaga yung saya ngayon sa binigay ni Madam Marie. Maraming naitulong sa aking pamilya.”

Daisy gave advice to Overseas Filipino workers, “For OFWs who are suffering now, patience and hard work are the keys to success.
