Cordillera - The 'fast and furious' striker of Team Lakay, Lito "The Thunder Kid" Adiwang released a statement that he is willing to fight ONE Flyweight Muay Thai Champion Rodtang "The Iron Man" Jitmuangnon if the promotion allows him to switch to ONE Super Series.

He said via One Championship that he is "1000" percent willing to pursue a match with Rodtang as he saw some vulnerabilities from the Thai fighter.

“I’m really willing to fight him – 1,000 percent. I’ll cross over to ONE Super Series if they give me Rodtang," said Adiwang.

"I know I’ll come in as a heavy underdog, but I believe I have the tools to beat Rodtang because I’ve been seeing holes in his game,” he added.

Adiwang believed that many of the fans are excited to see a fight between them. If the match happens it would be one of the biggest cross-over match in the history of ONE Championship promotion.

“I’ve seen the clamor of our fans to see this fight, but it’s not just them. It’s me. I really want this fight and I really believe that when we face each other, we can bring out an exciting match. I’ll be at my best because I know I can do it once I face Rodtang.”

Rodtang perfected a zero loss record at  the promotion and compiled over 250 wins since he turned pro at the age of 21. He reached the pinnacle of success when he dethroned Jonathan Haggerty in 2019 to claim the ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Title.

For Adiwang, a product of Rich Franklin’s ONE Warrior Series and a member of the Philippines’ most elite mixed martial artists, his confidence, his strong mindset and work ethic can help him wins against the most experienced Thai fighter.
