PCol. Jimmy Almora Catanes of Buguias, Benguet has been promoted to the rank of PNP General

Cordillera - Police Colonel Jimmy Almora Catanes has been formally promoted to the rank of Police Brigadier General at Camp Olivas in San Fernando City, Pampanga this morning, according to Police Regional Office 3. 

PBGEN Catanes who traces his roots from Buguias, Benguet was earlier promoted by Malacanang to police brigadier general on March 19, 2020.

PBGEN Catanes became the first police officer from Buguias, Benguet to be donned of the rank of police brigadier general while on active duty.

Catanes was a member of the Philippine National Police Academy (PNP) Class of 1989 and currently serving as the regional director of the PNP Internal Affairs Service in Region 3.
