Cordillera - Amid the chaos brought by the coronavirus, there are small acts of kindness like this farmer who donated his lettuce to the government working 24/7 to control the spread of the virus.
A farmer in Baguio City has extended his help to the city government's fight against the spread of coronavirus by donating his produce to the Mayor's office.

In a post from the Public Order & Safety Division (POSD) of Baguio City, Mr. Tony Quezon, a farmer of Purok 2, Irisan contacted the Mayor's office to donate his lettuce vegetable to the said office instead of being left spoiled due to the lack of demand which was the effect of the ECQ.

The POSD later send officers to Mr. Quezon's farm to help him harvest the vegetables which was later distributed to the different front liners who are working in enforcing the Enhanced Community Quarantine such as the police, members of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), barangay personnel and others, according to the POSD post.

The POSD also distributed some of the vegetables to the passing public they met on the road.

These are few of the uplifting stories in Cordillera in these trying times, where locals citizens offered goodness, kindness and support to other people.
A few days ago, some landlords in Baguio and Benguet has shown kindness to their tenants who were affected by the city's Enhanced Community Quarantine by waiving their rental fees for this month.

Such stories of kindness will motivate us to be united as one nation, one Cordillera and fighting against an invisible enemy.

To sir Tony Quezon, Mabuhay po kayo. May the Creator in heaven bless you more.
