First Igorota graduate of Canada's Royal Military College promoted to higher rank.

Cordillera - The Philippine Military Academy (PMA) administered the promotion and donning of ranks and oath taking of three (3) Foreign Service Academy (FSA) graduates: two (2) were from USA namely; 2LT ALDRIN M FELIPE PA and ENS DOREEN R LUMACAD PN and one (1) from Canada, ENS CARRIE FAITH B MAGANON PN on October 23, 2021.

Attended by some PMA organic personnel, the said event was presided by Chief of Staff, AFP, GEN JOSE S FAUSTINO JR PA and assisted by the Superintendent, LTGEN FERDINAND M CARTUJANO PAF. 

Ensign Magannon who hails from Sumadel, Tinglayan, Kalinga is the first Cordilleran and first PMA female cadet to have graduated from Royal Military College of Canada (RMCC).

ENS Magannon was among the chosen cadets by the Philippine Military Academy to study in RMCC.

The Royal Military College of Canada is the military college of the Canadian Armed Forces which prepares officer cadets for a career in the profession of arms and continues the development of other Canadian Armed Forces members and civilians with an interest on defense issues.

The Philippine military Academy and its Facebook page expressed its sincere congratulations to the newly promoted officers and enlisted personnel.

Three Cordilleran cadets among Top 10 of PMA's "Masidlawin" Class of 2020

Cordillera - The Philippine Military Academy (PMA) officials has released the official list of Top 10 graduates of the "Masidlawin" (Mandirigmang Isinilang na may Dangal at Lakas Upang Maging Tanglaw ng Inang Bayan) Class of 2020. 

On Friday, 22, 2020, the list of the top 10 graduating cadets were released to the media.

Three or the top 10 were from the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR). 

They are Cadet Rojes Gaile Jamandre from Lamut, Ifugao in the top 4, Cadet Jeb Bay-an of Kabayan, Benguet in the top 5, and Cadet Catabay Ladyong of Tabuk, Kalinga-Apayao in the top 6. 

Other cadets in the top 10 are:

Top 1: Gemalyn Sugui - Echague, Isabela

Top 2: Jade Villanueva - Tacloban City

Top 3: Jefferson Salazar - Zamboanga City

Top 7: Vanelyn Angel Tabao - Tuguegarao City

Top 8: June Giel Anne Factor - Ilocos Norte

Top 9: Tubenson Abgao - Baroy, Lanao Del Norte

Top 10: Dencel Aina Bayaca - Pampanga

This year's PMA graduation rights will be closed to the public due to the coronavirus crisis however parents and relatives can watch the event via live stream at the PMA's official Facebook page. 

There are a total of 196 students composed of female and male who will be graduating today at the country's prestigious academy.

12 Kalinga brave young cadets graduated from PMA "Masidlawin" Class of 2020

Cordillera - The Philippine Military Academy (PMA) "Masidlawin" Class of 2020 will hold its commencement exercise today, May 22, 2020 closed to the public without the usual pomp and pageantry. 

However, parents and relatives can watch the graduation rites through live stream at the PMA's official Facebook page, according to PMA spokesperson. 

12 Kalinga cadets will be joining the graduates in a live stream ceremony. They are:

2. Dappay, Jepeson Addamo (Airforce) - Lacnong, Tabuk city, Kalinga
