Igorota Muaythai athlete wins 2 gold and 1 bronze medals in muay world championships

Cordillera - A proud Cordilleran Islay Ericka Bomogao has raised the Philippine flag in Muaythai Competition as she bagged gold and bronze medals     during the 2021 International Federation of Muaythai Associations World Championship.

Bomogao won 2 gold medals and 1 bronze medal in Waiku Female Coed Mai Muay and U23 45kgs Elite Female of the 2021 IFAM World Muaythai Championship held in Bangkok, Thailand.

Meanwhile, fellow Filipino Muaythai athlete Philippine Delarmino won the men's 57kgs elite combat competition, and teamed up with Bomogao to secure the gold in the mai muaythai category.

Other Filipino athlete Aldrich Toralba bagged silver in the waikru male category and Rudzma Abubakar captured the bronze in the U23 45kgs Elite Female.

Igorota Muaythai fighter donates 1 month allowance to purchase relief goods

Cordillera - An Igorota Muaythai fighter from Baguio City has donated her one month allowance to augment the funds needed in purchasing relief goods to be given to the needy.
The Muaythai Association of the Philippines (MAP) has announced in its Facebook page that Muaythai National Athlete Islay Erika Bomogao had donated her one month allowance from the Philippine Sports Commission to augment the funds needed for the purchase of relief goods being facilitated by her father, Councilor Benny O. Bomogao. 

Likewise, Councilor Bomogao donated his one month salary for the same purpose, according to MAP. 

Recipients of the said relief goods were single parents of Dontogan, Green Valley where Erika's mother and grant parents are from. 

Erika and his father were added to the number of generous Filipinos who have big hearts in helping their fellowmen amid crisis brought by this global pandemic. 
Bomogao won Gold Medal in the 42-kg female division during the 2018 International Federation of Muaythai Amateur (IFMA) Youth World Championship held last August 7 at the National Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. 

She also represented the Philippines in the 2019 Southeast Asian Games held in the Philippines last December.
